I have an iPhone but use Gmail as my default mail client and contact manager and I’ve also started using extensively Google Calendar as my main agenda.
When I recently tried to sync my iPhone calendar with Google, I realized that this is not possible as there’s no way to export the calendar from iCloud. Not least to transfer the calendar events from my iCloud account to my Google Calendar. Let me show you how I managed to transfer the iCloud calendar events into my Gmail calendar.
iCloud calendar to Google in 10 steps
To export your iCloud calendar you need a third party computer program called CopyTrans Contacts. Download it from here:
1. Install and run the program on the PC and connect your iPhone
2. From the main program window, go to More > Cloud setup
3. Click New connection then iCloud
4. Enter your iCloud username and password to connect the program to your iCloud account. Check the mark next to “Calendars” and click Add account
5. Now also add your Gmail account by clicking on Gmail
6. Once again, enter your credentials this time for your Google account, and check the box next to “Calendars”. Click Add account
7. Close the Cloud setup window and continue to the Calendars section of the program by clicking on the calendar icon on the left
8. Let your iCloud and Gmail calendars load up completely. The iCloud calendar appears marked with a small cloud icon to the right while the Gmail calendar - by the Gmail envelope
9. Right-click on the iCloud calendar under the “Calendars” pane and select “Copy > Events to” and then click on your Gmail account
That is all. The events from your iCloud calendar have now been imported into your Google calendar in a single click.
This is the only way I found that allows the transfer of iCloud calendar to Google.
